The Y2K executive summary competition precedes the Y50K and is an opportunity to get feedback on general business concepts in advance of the larger Y50K program. Executive summaries for Y2K are due Monday, December 12th. Participation in the Y2K is NOT a requirement for participating in the Y50K. item_key="entrant_info_deadlines";
There are 4 deadlines of which teams entering the Y50K should be aware:
- Submit Optional Executive Summary by 5pm on Sunday, February 18th, 2007 at 5:00 PM
Teams submitting Executive Summaries must upload their documents onto the YES website; an upload link will be made available within "Manage Teams" of My Y50K to allow such submission. This is an optional first round submission which basically acts as a rough draft entry in order to receive feedback from judges. SUBMISSION INTO THE FIRST ROUND IS NOT REQUIRED TO ENTER INTO THE COMPETITION. Evaluations will be returned by March 5th and will be judged by Y50K judges.
Teams must fill out the Y50K Registration and Consent Form and can submit this material either by dropping it off at the YES office between 8am and 5pm, located at 254 Elm St, next to Tyco and The Yankee Doodle, or via email to [email protected].
- Submit Full Business Plans by Friday, March 16th, 2007
Full business plans should cover all major aspects of the venture, including but not limited to operations, marketing, industry/competition, personnel and complete financial statements. Full Business Plans will be read by Y50K judges and scored to determine which teams become Finalists. Submit entries online via your MyY50K account. For more information, see Y50K Rules.
- Finalists Present to Final Round Judges on April 13th-14th, 2007
Teams advancing to the final round of the competition will present to a panel of judges on Saturday, April 14th. They should submit their presentations via e-mail by April 7th at midnight.
