mission
to train the new generation of bulldog entrepreneurs & venture capitalists.
~ not the next, but the new generation of Yalie founders and VCs. Diverse, scrappy & unbounded.
support everything entrepreneurship & VC @ Yale
~ 14 colleges, 12 grad schools, 1000s of alumni founders. YES is the mesh that connects the builders, creators, and investors that drive innovation.
values
YES is ~
A startup in everything we do - try, experiment, fail, learn, iterate. In everything we do, we are a startup. Always learning, always improving.
Peer-driven — At our core, we are a family. Learning, helping, and supporting each other is uncompromisable.
Always Questioning — There is always room to grow and improve. This comes from critical questions we ask ourselves on values, mission, and more. YES is a space where introspection is celebrated and encouraged.
Diverse in thought and background — Less than 3% of venture funding reaches BIPOC and woman/non-binary founders and even less goes towards those who stand at the intersection of these groups. At YES we’re not concerned with merely creating ‘the next generation of Bulldog entrepreneurs’ but creating a new generation of entrepreneurs. One that is more representative of the world in which we live.
our programs
internships
The YES Internship Program gives undergraduates the opportunity to intern with our 100+ affiliated start-ups, who range from pre-seed companies to those currently financing a Series C. Through our program, students can help build a company from scratch while working with experienced entrepreneurs who are experts in their space. As they live and breathe the startup experience, our participants learn the ins and outs of building a product to scale while collaborating with a close-knit team.
incubator
The YES Incubator is founded on peer-to-peer support and unifying the Yale entrepreneurial ecosystem. Providing Yalies with everything they need to start and scale their ventures the incubator is the heart of entrepreneurship at Yale.
vc fellows
The YES VC Fellow program is a 4-month opportunity that teaches you all things Venture Capital. We're bringing in some amazing Yale Alum and experts in the business to teach you how VC actually works and how you can break into the field. At the end of the fellows program, you'll have your own VC portfolio from Yalie startups and be connected with the best the field has to offer.
vc opportunities
The YES VC Opportunities program gives students the chance to gain hands-on work experience with a top VC firm. By working on real-world problems with a small team, students learn the ins and outs of VC and receive unparalleled mentorship from industry experts.
