Entrepreneurship in the Middle East Conference (11/6/09)
- LC101, Friday, 11/6/09, 10AM-8PM
- The Arab Students Association (ASA) and the Yale Friends of Turkey (YFT), in conjunction with McKinsey & Co and several partners at Yale University, are organizing a conference on Entrepreneurship in the Middle East. It is the collaborators’ vision to organize a conference that sheds a different light on a region where great opportunities are constantly overshadowed by politically charged news headlines. Such an initiative, falls within the ASA’s mission of breaking down stereotypes and closing the divide between the people of the U.S. and the Middle East.
- The conference will consist of two keynote speakers, the first being Fadi Ghandour of Aramex and the second being Habib Haddad, founder of Yamli.com. The conference will also involve two panels covering the topics: Social Entrepreneurship, Education and Socioeconomic Development and The Role of Women in Entrepreneurship. There will also be a talk on the Future of Renewable Energy in the Middle East.
