Yale Venture Challenge Finalists & Winners

The Yale Entrepreneurial Society is proud to announce the winners from our Yale Venture Challenge Innovation Summit held on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Congratulations and thank you to our participants, judges, YES leadership, and our many sponsors and partners, including The Study for the use of their spectacular facilities. Special thanks to our speakers: Dan Doctoroff, President of Bloomberg, LP., and Nina and Tim Zagat, of the Zagat Restaurant Survey.


Each of the six finalists gave fantastic presentations, impressing both the judges and the audience.


1st Place: KiSS

Kiss is an early stage venture that makes seats that fit into manual wheelchair frames to make them more comfortable.

$3,000 cash + $5,000 financial consulting from Brentmore Evaluation Advisers + $10,000 legal services from Yale Entrepreneurial Institute (YEI) corporate partner


2nd Place: GentleMed

Gentlemed specializes in developing opthalmologic drug delivery systems. The company’s mission is to develop products which take into account patient lifestyle and comfort.

$1,000 cash + $5,000 financial consulting from Brentmore Evaluation Advisers + $5,000 legal services from YEI corporate partner


3rd Place: oSnapplications

oSnapplications develops web and mobile applications for creating and viewing campus tours on mobile devices. The first product, uTourX, is a distribution channel for specialized tours of college campuses.

$1,000 cash + $5,000 legal services from YEI corporate partner
